Now retired, Raphael Varane was the epitome of a Rolls Royce defender. Everything he did was done with a sense of ease and he just oozed class.
His performances with Lens during his solitary season with Lens were impressive enough to warrant a cluster of top clubs to scramble about for his signature. Zizou convinced him to make Madrid his home and 360 appearances later, he left Madrid with four Champions League and three La Liga medals.
This shirt from his only senior season with Lens is a memento to cherish in memory of an incredible career.
